Emotional Routes: intimacy, bodies, spaces

Emotional Routes: intimacy, bodies, spaces was an online exhibition that examined how we cultivate spaces of intimacy and connection. Featuring work by Max McKerlie, Steven H. Schmid, and Milosh Rodic this exhibition was created to explore how we foster meaningful connections, especially when separated and isolated from each other due to Covid-19. This separation from our loved ones and out normal lives has intensified the need to creatively cultivate relationships and intimacy as well as rethink and reframe what intimacy means to us. In an attempt to understand how we can create spaces of connections in these times, whether those spaces are real or virtual, our curatorial team created a virtual space to explore these ideas. The name, Emotional Routes references the new and old ways we form connections to others and the paths we take to get to them.
