Artist Showcase: Colleen Gray

This solo exhibition of Colleen Gray's work was curated and coordinated by Hannah Dickson and exhibited at The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum in the Summer of 2021.

Painting with ground mineral watercolours, Gray creates vivid and iridescent artworks that share Indigenous stories and experiences with the viewer. Rooted in Indigenous spirituality, learned and practiced over her lifetime and informed by her Cree Elders, Gray uses her art to teach others about how to think Indigenously and how to understand the deep connection to the land that we all have, even when we don't acknowledge it.
